Dispatcher

As a dispatcher, you are the first point of contact that our partners meet. As a dispatchers you will be in charge of supervising drivers’ routes and the field units’ status to ensure the drivers’ schedule is efficient and productive.

This job requires the following:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Knowledge of computers for scheduling and dispatching duties

  • Excellent Clerical and Organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time

  • Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances

 

Flagger (hiring late 2024)

 
 

As a Flagger you will monitor the flow of traffic around roads and construction sites. As Flagger your responsibilities include informing motorists of possible detour routes, reporting disobedient drivers to law enforcement officials, and answering motorists’ questions. You should also be able to direct emergency vehicles safely through construction zones as required.

This job requires the following:

  • Efficient communication skills

  • Be comfortable standing 8-12 hours unassisted and lifting 40-60lbs. Walking, lifting, standing, etc. all while being able to hold a Stop/Slow Paddle

  • Comfortable working around a high volume of fast-moving traffic.

  • This is an outdoor position, and you will work in all weather conditions.

  • All candidates MUST submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Driver’s License may be required with a motor vehicle report that meets AWP company guidelines to be considered for promotions. This depends on the location you apply to. Your recruiter will explain the details!

  • Ability to multitask and have a heightened awareness of your surroundings.

Lead Flagger (hiring late 2024)

As Lead Flagger, this position would hold the basic flagging responsibilities, in addition to actively participating in controlling traffic in work zones the Lead Flagger would be expected take the initiative to meet with clients for a pre-job briefing and inventory for all equipment.

This job requires:

  • Efficient communication skills

  • Be comfortable standing 8-12 hours unassisted and lifting 40-60lbs. Walking, lifting, standing, etc. all while being able to hold a Stop/Slow Paddle

  • Comfortable working around a high volume of fast-moving traffic.

Advanced Lead Flagger (hiring late 2024)

 

As the Advanced Crew Leader you may be responsible for setting up complex work zones, which could include shifting lanes, merging patterns, and complex intersection work. As the Advanced Crew Leader you would be required to actively participate in controlling traffic in work zones, meet with clients for pre-job briefings, and you would be responsible for equipment inventory.

This job requires the following:

  • Efficient communication skills

  • Be comfortable standing 8-12 hours unassisted and lifting 40-60lbs. Walking, lifting, standing, etc. all while being able to hold a Stop/Slow Paddle

  • Comfortable working around a high volume of fast-moving traffic.

Truck Driver

CDL or Non-CDL

As Truck Driver you will be responsible for transporting goods from one location to another. Job duties include loading vehicles, abiding by traffic laws and ensuring safe unloading and delivery at assigned destination(s).

This position requires the following:

  • Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers

  • Obeying and following applicable traffic laws

  • Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle

  • Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations

  • Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving

  • Flexibility for Long-distance and/or Local driving

Carpenter

A carpenter is a skilled tradesperson who works with wood and other materials to construct, install, and repair various structures and fixtures.

Job duties involve:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints,

  • Selecting and measuring materials, cutting, shaping, and assembling components, and

  • Ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of the finished product.

    As a Carpenter, you may work on construction sites, residential or commercial projects, or in specialized areas such as cabinetry or furniture making. You will be required to have a good understanding of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Safety and attention to detail are crucial in your work, as you will be required to follow building codes and regulations while producing high-quality craftsmanship.
